The BERMUN2 conference is a primarily regional Model United Nations conference providing students with the opportunity to simulate the work of the United Nations. Through this simulation, students gain insight into international politics and the work of the United Nations, polish their rhetorical and communicative skills, and work together with other students to find practical solutions to global problems. By preparing the topics and conversing in English, language and research competencies are practiced and refined.
Background guides for BERMUN2 have been written by student participants in previous BERMUN conferences. Current student leadership have revised or written addenda to update the research reports. We would like to acknowledge these students and faculty who have put much time and effort into preparing the guides. BERMUN and the John F. Kennedy School are grateful to the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for providing the venue and logistical support for this year’s conference.
