The BERMUN2 conference is a primarily regional Model United Nations conference providing students with the opportunity to simulate the work of the United Nations. Through this simulation, students gain insight into international politics and the work of the United Nations, polish their rhetorical and communicative skills, and work together with other students to find practical solutions to global problems. By preparing the topics and conversing in English, language and research competencies are practiced and refined.
Background guides for BERMUN2 have been provided by the Lebanese American University (LAU). BERMUN appreciates the university sharing the guides and would like to acknowledge the work their students and faculty have put into preparing the guides, thus continuing the cooperation we had with UNA-USA for the first 11 years of BERMUN2. BERMUN and the John F. Kennedy School are grateful to the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for providing the venue and logistical support for this year’s conference.
